Trophic’s mission is, and always has been, to provide Canadians with high quality, natural nutritional supplements.

Trophic is 100% Canadian. Trophic products are manufactured, packaged and distributed by Trophic at our plant in Penticton, at the south end of the lovely Okanagan Valley. The warm, dry climate, clean air and water provide an ideal location for one of Canada’s largest health supplement manufacturers.

Trophic was founded in 1967 by Sloan Alma 'Al' Smith in Toronto as 'Meta-Trophic Formulas'. For three years, Al saw his company gaining a foothold in the Canadian health food market and in 1970, while vacationing with his family in the Okanagan, he realized that Penticton was where his company could flourish and grow.

Trophic has maintained Al’s philosophy during it’s over 40 years in business. As a pioneer in the health food industry in Canada, his goal was to provide Canadians with affordable supplements that where as close to nature as possible.

Manufacturing
All Trophic products are manufactured in our manufacturing plant and head office in Penticton, B.C. Our manufacturing procedures follow the 'Good Manufacturing Practices' (GMP) guidelines as set out in the Natural Health Product Directorate.

Quality Control
Purity and quality is foremost in the mind of every Trophic employee. Our manufacturing plant houses a fully equipped Laboratory for on-site analysis of our supplements.

Raw materials are quarantined upon arrival at the warehouse and are released for use only after sampling and testing has been completed by our Quality Control chemists.

During the manufacturing process, stringent testing procedures are followed, from the mixing stage through to the finished tablets, checking purity, quality, potency stability, size, weight and colour. Quality control release is also required for products after the packaging process is complete.
